After rebranding Aily, an artificial intelligence app for businesses, Claritas was looking to move it online and into motion. My role was to support the website relaunch and establish how the brand presented itself in motion graphics and video. This project was a huge undertaking but offered unique learning opportunities in the tech of tomorrow.
Working closely with a developer, Claritas optimised the performance and design on some of the main pages for the new website. Meanwhile, I would focus on introducing brand elements and motion to the website. An example of this is the White Hot Glow which is a large living white and green gradient. I built a gradient better suited to the purposes of the website and the developer to ensure this brand element, which was integral to Aily, was included. In addition, I designed the layout for the Product and Approach page by working closely with the client and Claritas. Here is a link to their website.
The first video Aily wanted was for the rebrand launch. This would establish how Aily would present itself in motion, so I took care to examine the existing design elements in static and consider what to do with them. Other than the White Hot Glow gradient seen on the website, there is also an Electric Glow which traces the edges of devices like phones and tablets to give it a unique sheen. Using an After Effects plugin called Saber, the Electric Glow could now move along any path and even flare up depending on the pacing of the video. When planning the storyboard, I felt that displaying the sleekness of the brand and the versatility of the Aily app was a key component. So I introduced a quick zoomed section of the logo before the final reveal. A final sequence highlights that Aily can be used across multiple devices. The final video can be found below in the post Aily made to announce the rebrand on LinkedIn.
